Making a Sewing Pattern from a RTW Garment

Do you have that one piece of clothing that just fits perfectly, is super comfy, easy to style? Why not make your own version! In this video I go through the process of making a pair of pants based of a Uniqlo pair I already own. I've used this technique a number of times and it's super handy to get the same fit of a style you already love!

I do suggest having some sewing knowledge before trying this. You'll need to be able to pick a similar type of fabric to the original garment. Do some detective work on how the seams are sewn together and have a basic understanding of what patterns should look like.

Hopefully this video gives you some tips on how to convert a ready-made piece of clothing into your own sewing pattern!
